Leukemia & Lymphoma Society – Mid-Atlantic Region Light The Night Walk, 2024
On September 27, the Precision for Medicine team in Frederick, MD took part in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Mid-Atlantic Region Light The Night Walk. This annual event aims to raise awareness and support for those affected by blood cancers, and we are proud to have contributed to this important cause.
In the months leading up to the walk, our team engaged in a variety of creative fundraising activities to gather support. One of our most popular events was the “Pie in Face” fundraiser, where participants bid to gently pie someone in the face. This lighthearted activity brought lots of laughter and camaraderie to our team, while also encouraging generous donations. In addition to this, we organized picnic basket sales and hosted a 50/50 raffle, which added to our fundraising efforts.
Thanks to the dedication and enthusiasm of our team, we raised over $5,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and its Light The Night campaign. On the day of the walk, around 14 of us came together to show our support, carrying lanterns and walking side by side with others committed to the fight against blood cancers.
