Volunteering with Durham Food Bank in Durham, North Carolina
The Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina (the Food Bank) is a nonprofit organization that has provided food for our friends and neighbors facing hunger in 34 counties in central and eastern North Carolina for over 40 years. In the Durham, North Carolina area alone, there are currently 78,420 people facing hunger (and growing). The Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina supports those facing hunger by providing access to nutritious food and creating an environment where all North Carolinans can thrive. Since last year, volunteers have served over 32,000 hours at the Durham branch of the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina, distributing over 14 million meals and 7 million pounds of produce.
The Precision team was excited to dedicate a day volunteering with The Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina’s Durham branch where we packaged over 1,500 pounds of produce for those living with food insecurity in the Durham area.
